Comic/manga book artists create comics/manga for the viewing of the community or all around the world.

An artist in this profession must be able to know how to adapt to the readers. If you were to create something that nobody wants to read it would effect you. Although you cold make a one hit wonder. They must also know how to listen to ideas and learn from them. Another skill is decision making and judgement. The very last important thing to know is how to draw.

Educational requirements for this particular profession is not really needed. You can be a 12 year old with unbelievable talent and make it as a hot shot. But most employers are looking for students and drawers with training past high school level. So having a degree in fine arts and drawing would be a major help.

Jobs that can be taken in high school for this profession is background clean up or sketching for a popular comic title. This is all the small detail that makes the overall picture look fantastic. A good comic starts with a great background.

Starting salary can be around $10-25, depending on how popular you title is. The annual wage can be estimated to be $53,080 and up once again depending on the charts of your work.


   Production Artist

The last person to see a design before it is published. They must have a good eye for mistakes. Also they must know Indesign and Acrobat.

Education - Have a background of high school graphics or arts in this profesion. Have a bachelors degree in graphic designs. Also a good 2 years of extra training could help your chances.

   Art Director

Supervise and Critique the visual appearances so that it meets the clients need.

Education - A degree in a form of graphics design.

   Creative Director

Oversees the design of the project. Assigns the staff with various projects. Come up with new designs. Keep up with the deadlines. Make sure it meets with the client.

Education - Some sort of degree in fine arts and some sort of management experience.

   Illustrator

Creates images rom printed materials. Create everything from greeting cards to advertisement.

Education- some sort of Fine Arts degree. Taking internship and illustrating.
